Sesame Asparagus

Sesame Asparagus makes for a great and healthy side dish to either a lunch or a dinner meal. It is also very easy to make! I just love the warm taste of toasted sesame seeds.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of asparagus cut into 1 ½ inch pieces
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • ½ cup of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds

Cook the sesame seeds in a pan until they are golden brown. Next, heat some butter in a pan then add the asparagus and garlic. Saute the asparagus and garlic in the buttered pan for about 2 minutes. Then stir in the broth and bring everything to a boil. Once everything starts boiling, reduce the heat and cover the pan. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes or until the asparagus is crisp. Remove the asparagus and place in a serving bowl or dish. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and enjoy your sesame asparagus!
