Khal Bi Ribs Recipe

This Hawaiian style Khal Bi Ribs Recipe is a simple but fresh way to cook ribs. If you are a ribs lover then you will love this ribs recipe. My family loves ribs and they love this recipe. It might be better served during warmer weather though and on a barbecue but it can be made at home in the kitchen too using just the oven.

Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs beef short ribs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/8 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon gingerroot, minced
  • 1/4 cup green onion, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Cut the ribs into 1 1/2 or 2 inch pieces. Then butterfly the ribs. This is done by cutting parallel to the bone with about 1/4 of an inch of the opposite side left. Open the ribs the lay them down flat. Score the meat on both sides. Next, combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and marinate the meat in that sauce for four hours. If cooking on a grill, char the meat over the grill until it is crispy on both sides. If you are not using a grill, broil the ribs in the over for 3 to 5 minutes on each side.
